Philosophy of UENOA
UENOA is a design office represented by Yoshinori Hasegawa and Fumie Horikoshi. We are doing architectural design on the theme of "re-designing living".
In the 20th century, mankind has realized that the modernization of architecture can enrich lives. We believe that what is important for 21st century architecture is how to achieve a sustainable environment and how to have “uniqueness”
So, we feel the potential of wooden construction using new technology. Wooden construction has the potential to bring circulation to the declining forests and to rediscover the local vernacular technologies.
